Thinking About the Text
1. What does Sanders immediately acknowledge about the physical conditions of the men he knew when he was a boy? Cite specific illistrations from sanders' essay.
2. How does Sanders characterize the "other sort of men," the soldires that Sanders knew when he was growing up?
3. When Sanders was young, he saw a number of men who were dfferent from the hard-working laborers or the soldiers. Explain why the author could not imagine aspiring to become one of these men.
4. In what way did Sanders' father's fate seem a partial escape from the fate of most of the men he knew?
5. A college scholarship provided Sanders an escape from the paths of most men that he knew in his childhood. In college, Sanders met women whose thoughts about gender he had not expected and, as he admits, he was slow to understand. What specific contrasts between the college men's and women's lives did he eventually understand? Which gender has the better life, according to Sanders?
6. In what ways do the deliminating realities of social and economic class bring lower-class men and women together? What specific realities do they have in common?
7. What do college-educated women from the upper class have in common with the author of this essay?

Summary Self Evaluation Blog
-Why didn't you complete this assignment?
I really don't like to make excuses for my self. I had an assignment to do, and didn't do it. All I can say is that I had a lot going on, and forgot.
-How do you plan on writing this next summary; what kinds of resources will you use to make certain you do well?
Next time I won't let anything distract me, i just need to make sure i prioritize my time better. Also use my resources, my professor, tutors, class mates, etc. Also make sure if I have trouble turning in my work in, make sure I ask my teacher if i could get an extention. And ultimately, do the summary!

Discussing Main Point and Meaning
1. Do the author's survey results indicate that feminist is, by and large, a dirty word for her fellow students?
Christina Libby does show that feminist is a "dirty word" to her students. She gives different point of views that show peoples different perspective of what feminist really means. To many its has a bad meaning, to some its good, and to others they believe in it but don't claim it.
2. What reasons does Libby offer why there are not more self-identified feminist?
Some males think its not their place to be a feminist, and in a womans business. Also others agree what femiism stands for, but do nothing about it, so they don't claim themselves as feminist.
3. Why does she think more people should identify themselves as feminist?
To some people, they are confused about the definision of feminism. If more people knew the actual fight for femimism, they would claim it. There are a lot of feminist, male and female, but they just dont know what the real fight is, or what they should stand for.

Transfer Motivational Conference Blog
At the Transfer Motivational Conference at Sacramento State University was a great experience. I loved reperesenting out school, and seeing all the others there too! There were many different workshops to choose from, I ended up not going to the one I chose from online (plus, there wasn't much of a selection left that interested me). Instead of going to the "So you want to be a engineer", i went to the "Transfering and feeling good" workshop, It had a hip-hop vibe mixed in with the class. There was a DJ (DJ Rock Bottom), and 3 other guys named Ken, Adam, and Andreas who all loved hip-hop and teaching, so they mixed them together in their learning techniques. W talked about what thins you need to transfer and how to get there. We also read different quotes and dsected them, and gave our thoughts. Even though i was the only puente student from Foothill in the class, i made the most of it and talked to new people (socialized), and it was a great experience. The next highlight of my day was the campus tour (with our tour guide May), the whole class was all together and i loved seeing more of what sacramento state had to offer. I loved the trip, the campus, the worshop, the speakers, and spending time with my fellow class mates and others like us.

Anzaluda Responce 2
Anzaldua writes about language and its influence on our identity in a non-traditional, academic format. In terms of structure, what is different about how Anzaldua writes? What makes it an academic text (consider your notes on academic writing). What makes it "anti-academic?" In other words, how is it different from a traditional essay? Why do you think Anzaldua writes her essay in this way? What is she trying to accomplish? Select ONE quote from the text that you think expresses her PURPOSE or reasons for writing the essay in this non-traditional way.
In reading Anzaluda's story, she is mostly speaking out to the latino culture, but i understood what she was trying to convey to her audiance. Basically how different latino languages (dialects), conflict with eachouther. But how it also gets took back to the spanish language, no matter what kind of latino you are ("majority rules"). In her arical, she also talks about how the spanish language has evolved through time, also how the mexico-spanish, and american-spanish, are different. Latinos in Mexico who come to america sound too mexican, and latinos from america who go to mexico sound too american.
