My Motivation to Attend College

My motivation to attend college is for self fulfillment, and my family’s encouragement. For me I try to look at going to college as a requirement other than an option, I want to succeed and be able to live a life without financial struggle, and I believe college can set me up to have an excellent career and future. My family drives me in many ways to go to college, through their mistakes, accomplishments, financial instability/stability, trying to be a influence, and words of wisdom. My family pressures me (in a good way) to stay in school. My mommy, grandparents, aunts, and uncles all have different methods of expressing their “pressure” on me, but ultimately they are all proud of me. I am aware that if I want to purse a career that pays a respectable amount, I have to continue on with my schooling, and gain knowledge on a subject I want a future in. My main importance of my life is to be happy and financially secure because, I don’t want a boring career that I hate, and from self and others experiences with money struggles. I believe that ultimately Puente will help me I my future. I don’t like to take the typical English class, I like to try new things, also the fact that the class is in the transfer program to help me go on to a 4 year college. I don’t know what I want to do yet in the future, but I do know that an education is the key to success, and college is one step closer to greatness.

  1. Certainly college can help you get that start to a better career. Your motivation to be successful goes beyond money. Your desire of "self fulfillment," is one that no one mentions regularly, but should be. You want this for yourself, and that is something to be regarded.
